For once I can honestly say that the reason why I probably won't update for awhile is simply having too much to do. Basic review of weekend:

Saturday: MangaNEXT. All day long.
Sunday: College trip. Cosplay shopping. Lunch to celebrate father's birthday. Shoe shopping (D. Invoices, laundry, homework, sleep.
Monday: Community service at a farm. Carvel's. Movie. More homework.

Tomorrow: School, art club, first tae kwon do lesson, and of course more homework.

Also have a few side projects I want to accomplish...

Therefore, no time or motivation for art.

(Oh, lack of sleep doesn't help either.)

/whine

I thought sophomore year wasn't going to be harder than freshman year. I was wrong, apparently. I guess it's my fault for taking 2 AP classes, 3 honors classes and 2 work-giving electives, but jeez I had 17 textbook pages to read/annotate/answer questions on today from history, math and AP chem, not to mention an Italian composition, research for English and a comp sci assignment. I guess it'll only get worse, though. At least I had fun typing my English essay (Eragon vs. HDM critique )

Anyway, complaining aside, I'm doing decently if a bit tired, and I either have slight allergies or a cold coming on, but luckily my medicine appeared to prevent symptoms from really showing up today. I managed to finish the concept art for our game and fit in a bit of work on my map today, too. I really want to still do Tae kwon do but I don't really know how to go about signing up, and so I'm just waiting around for all my clubs to start now.

I want to work on my cosplay... but time, money, materials, and sewing inexperience restrict me. Guh.

On the bright side, the coming months offer tantalizing things... (Trials+Tribulations, new seasons of House and Grey's, GS artbook, SSBB, possibly TP/PH, cons, etc.) And I'm rereading His Dark Materials, which somehow has buried itself at the very top of my favorite book list after rereading/writing that essay on it. <3 <3 <3

The lack of a spring course in 7th period worries me slightly--but Diane got the same thing, so I'm probably in computer graphics as I requested. I'll be emailing my guidance counselor about that. @_@ Also, I want to switch my AP World History class, but that's another story.

GAMES
I'd been playing Rune Factory pretty obsessively beforehand, but as all my lovely IM buddies should know, Gyakuten Saiban 3 (Phoenix Wright 3~) came out officially today, but the ROM came out 4 days ago. THEREFORE I've basically been ODing on PW for the last few days. I'm on case 5, and well, at the height of fandomness, so you might expect some further PW fanart in my gallery if I get in the mood to draw.

LIFE
Six flags last Sunday with my CTY buddies (I missed them so much ) was loads of fun, and I hope my trip with Diane and Carolyn on Mon/Tue should be too Otherwise... I've been weighed down by my AP WH assignment and community service blah. But I did get new glasses~ Yay~

ART

What a windy, rainy day... I love rain, it's so pretty.

Anyway, my scanner trouble is finally fixed, thanks to my ever-helpful techy father and customer service. So now I have the ability to upload deviations... even if I'm too lazy to actually do them.

Oh, and a very happy birthday to my nerdcamp friend Dan (his just so happens to be the day before mine, ha), who doesn't have a DA but deserves many congratulations anyway~

I have returned. Suffice to say it was more awesomeness than I could have possibly expected, despite the fact that we spent seven hours a day learning chem. Yep yep. Of course, I dropped into a state of sadness/depression at it being over, which explains why I didn't update for a few days afterward. I miss my chem buddies~ *sniff*

I'm very sorry to say I can't possibly go through the some ~70 deviations and ~120 messages that gathered in those 3 weeks of nerd camp; honestly I expected worse, but I just cleared them all. I don't have THAT much time to spare. D:

My scanner isn't working at all, which explains (along with my lack of good coloring materials) why I haven't uploaded anything in so long. Or finished, for that matter, but yeah. I have a lot of nice pencil lineart I'd like to ink, color and scan in, though.
